FAQ's

How many charms should I do?

You may do as many charms as you would like. Usually it's best to have an odd number so that you have one charm hanging in the middle. Usually people do 5+ charms.

How do I know how big the charms are?

All my charms have a picture next to a quarter or penny for size reference.

What material are your charms/chains?

ALL MY CHAINS are 18k gold plated stainless steel. Around 95% of my charms are also 18k gold plated stainless steel. The other 5% of my charms are alloy/plastic/resin/clay based. 

18k gold plated stainless steel = The gold plating is water resistant and the stainless steel (base) will never tarnish. The gold plating will last you around 2 years (if you never take it off) before turning silver because of the stainless steel base. However it will never tarnish. If you are careful with it and take it off in the water these pieces will last a lifetime. 

All charms have their material in the description. If you would like a piece that is completely tarnish free + water resistant please select 18k gold plated stainless steel pieces only.

What's your return policy?

Store credit may be offered on pieces that have arrived defected. Photo evidence will need to be provided no later than 48 hours after the package was marked as delivered. Please send a email to contact.thatdreamgirlshop@gmail.com with your order number in the subject line. All shipping costs will need to be handled by the customer.

Absolutely no refunds will be offered on any purchase. No returns/exchanges will be offered if you order the wrong color or style. Please be careful when checking out to make sure everything has been selected properly.

Can I just order charms?

No, orders without the purchase of a chain will be canceled and refunded.

Due to the handcrafted and made-to-order nature of our small business we do not accept returns or cancellations after 24 hours, please allow at least 2 business days to process the order on all charm pieces. Pre-made items ship ASAP.

About Us

Meet the Owners (The Dream Girls)Two Latina sisters from Mexico with a dream to open their very own store together. Karla (pictured on the left) and Cecilia (on the right), started That Dream Girl Shop on April of 2024 as a pop-up charm bar. The business has grown and expanded to carrying 300+ charm options and 30+ chains to help you make your own necklaces and bracelets. 

Cecilia is the creator of the chain hoop charm earrings and we are the only charm bar in WNY that makes custom engraved charms, and buffalo shaped clay charms. 

Our store front is located at 5596 Main Street in Williamsville NY. We also carry all of our charms and chains online, you can design and build a necklace directly on our website and have it shipped in just 2 days! 

So you're probably wondering, who's the oldest? (we get this question a lot!)... Well, we are 6 years apart, and shared a room together until Karla moved out and got married in 2020. To say the least, we are super close and it truly is a dream to work alongside each other. You will NEVER see us without jewelry on and chances are you'll find us out shopping or sipping a cosmo or a lemon drop.
